La Petite Ecole (The Little School)
La Petite Ecole (The Little School) has 30 years of experience in the US and France. A trilingual spoken and taught (French/English/Spanish) childcare combines love and acceptance with gentle re-direction as the cornerstone for a child's personal and spiritual growth. Our home-based day care is a safe, comfortable, stimulating environment. We teach about the diversity our planet and the respect all living creatures. We accept newborns (6 weeks) and toddlers (up to four years old). Learning to interact with love, respect and understanding has a big impact in our society. Our activities are scheduled with transition between play and learning. Our curriculum is based on years of experience and observation, a blend of personal experience, Montessori and psychology. A child has access to multi-experience on several subjects as geography, sciences, reading, games, songs in different languages. Healthy hot meals included, and special diet as gluten free or vegetarian on demand. Our special attention to the little ones focus on their daily needs and demands with nurturing and loving hearts and experience.
Infants
We accept infants 6 weeks and up.
Toddlers
We accept toddlers up to 4 years old.

Our Philosophy
La Petite Ecole combines love and acceptance with discipline as the cornerstone for a child's personal and spiritual growth. Our home-based day care is a safe, comfortable, stimulating environment.
Our one-on-one nurturing care is focused on individual needs and growth. Specializing in children ages 6 weeks to 4 years, we follow a daily schedule of developmentally appropriate and fun activities. Time for important play-based experiences and fun are encouraged. We emphasize academic preparation in basic skills, language, phonics, math and focused creativity.
Safety First
Our workers have undergone criminal background checks and are fingerprinted. We are certified CPR, trained in Covid prevention, and our facility is inspected regularly by the State.
Infant Care
Your newborn has a home with us. We take infants starting at 6 weeks.
Activities
At the center of life are activities and we will ensure your child experiences educational and fun activities.

Our Team
Meet Katya Gordon
I am the mother of three children - Twins (girl and a boy) and their brother (younger by 1-½ years). All grown up now. La Petite Ecole has been in the same location for over 25 years! I am French, but I have lived in America for about 35 years.
I have about 2000 hours of child care continuing education classes, and I take more each year. I earned a French Baccalaureate Degree, and studied Philosophy and Psychology. I orient my daycare towards languages, arts, reading skills, pre-math, music and more. The creativity of each child is enhanced by diverse teaching techniques developed by my observation through years of life experience.
My greatest pleasure in life is my daycare center. I have many letters and reviews from satisfied clients -- and I am grateful for their trust and confidence. But more importantly, to be a part of the lives of these children, our future, is the largest honor and joy.
Our Activities
French Classes
I am from the South of France and love to teach your children basic French. Expanding the mind with a language and culture leaves a worldly impression.
English Classes
English is the most used language in the world and at La Petite Ecole we love to reinforce words and proper usage.
Spanish Classes
We love the Spanish culture and what better way to express this than to learn basic Spanish!
Arts & Crafts
We love art! Painting, drawing, making things . . . expression is our goal and your children will create expressions of themselves that will delight you.
Music
We love sing-a-longs in French, English, and Spanish and experiencing instruments such as drums, and other music makers. As a musician, this is one of my favorite activities.
Culture & Diversity
The world is full of culture and diversity and what a wonderful environment to explore. We educate your children about nature, the environment, the planet and fun things about cultures of the world. We celebrate holidays too!
